One of the biggest problems for soil and coco is salt build -up in the medium. It can happen quickly, especially under hot conditions. Now this great little soil meter (HI 98331) makes it a simple matter to check the soil on a regular basis. As soon as an elevated reading is recorded the pots can be easily flushed with clean water.
HI 98331 is a special pocket meter designed to directly measure soil conductivity and temperature. With a temperature sensor incorporated into the penetration probe, readins are automatically temperature compensated.
The conductivity range can be easily calibrated in an aqueous solution with a single calibration point.
HI 98311 (Soil Test) is supplied with HI-73331 penetration conductivity , 4 x 1.5V batteries and instructions.
